SEGA Of Europe Has Registered “ShenmueRemastered.com” & “SheMnUeGame.com” Domains Too
It’s the gift that keeps on giving. And apparently registered on domains.
Courtesy of SEGABits, and a little more investigating to check the validity, we can now confirm that two other domain names have been registered by SEGA Europe in relation to Shenmue. Domains for “ShenmueRemastered.com” and “Shemnuegame.com” were registered around September 2016, the same time as “shenmuehd.com“. What is interesting is that these were apparently the only domains SEGA registered in 2016.
Now, you may notice the obvious typo in the second one. There is a reason for this. The domain name of “Shenmuegame.com“, properly spelled, was already taken. It was registered in 2015 by Mike Dobbin for GoDaddy.
This has been getting more interesting by the minute. Stay tuned…

Happy New Year!
Awesome news!! I wonder if this will be a separate digital release from Shenmue 3 or if Sega will work together with the Shenmue team and include it with the third entry somehow- if Shenmue 1 and 2 are being remastered that is.
>reports on this
>doesn’t report on Yakuza which is basically a darker, grittier Shenmue with better gameplay
Okay then.
…And?
I’m just saying you guys don’t report on the Yakuza games anymore. TSSZ used to report on them a bit. Suddenly you guys stopped. What happened?
There’s just not a lot to report on. SEGA doesn’t promote it all that much.
They’ve released trailers and stuff, and you guys never bothered to post that.
SEGA as a whole isn’t the focus of the site, unless that SEGA news is very huge (like this was). I tend to focus more on Sonic, so that’s where most of the workload goes to.
Maybe because Yakuza is a cheap rip-off of Shenmue. They just take a watered down idea of Shenmue and throw in guns and violence to make it appeal to simpletons.
