Sonic Wrecks Turns 7
Today, Sonic Wrecks celebrates its formal seventh birthday.
Though, like us, it came to form before the date, July 4th has been chosen as its proper opening. It webmaster, Kevin Eva, as well as several of its staff members, have been active, even instrumental, in bringing the annual Summer of Sonic fan convention in London to prominence. Eva announced earlier this year the 2011 convention would be the last he’s involved with.
To mark the occasion, Eva posted a trip through time, showing the previous looks of Wrecks. You can have a look at that here.
Never heard of it but looking at the trip though it looks like the kind of site I’d avoid.
If by alternate Sonic site they are referring to Sonic Retro even as bad as Retro get’s they don’t proudly fly the banner of Shadow the Hedgehog at the top of the page ugh.. just awful
@Sonical Sonic Wrecks is the second biggest sonic fan website. The top four (aka The Axis of Evil) are Sonic Stadium, Sonic Wrecks, Sonic Retro, and SEGA themselves. One of the subtitles to sonic wrecks that I saw used at one point was “we’re like the Sonic Stadium’s hotter sister”
Don’t get me wrong, I’m no fanboy, and i do prefer stadium over wrecks. But a fan site that was run by (during a specific period of time) a SEGA employee, is hardly something to label “must avoid” .
I saw NiGHTS at the top, so kudos, I guess.
…to nid.com, I mean.
yay for sonic wrecks~!
