Sonic Robo Blast 2 Part of “Corona Relief Done Quick”
Just underway this afternoon is Corona Relief Done Quick, a weekend speedrun event to benefit Direct Relief, which aims to deliver Personal Protective Equipment, or PPE, where it is needed most around the world to battle the current global coronavirus pandemic.
Though a Sonic Mania speedrun was completed earlier this afternoon, another Sonic title will be featured early Saturday morning: Sonic Robo Blast 2. It comes after Sonic Robo Blast 2 Kart was a part of the Frost Fatales speedrun weekend in February.
This run will have a special two-tailed twist. The goal is to finish the game as Tails only. It’s expected to take 38 minutes, but it will begin bright and early at 6:27AM ET.
Immediately following the SRB2 run will be a Sonic 2 run on the SEGA Master System at 7:15 AM ET. That’s been estimated to take half an hour.
