Sonic Movie Launches Digitally in the UK
It’s easy to forget that most media still does not launch on a coordinated schedule. While the Sonic movie debuted in America digitally on March 31st–more than a month before intended–that was not the case for fans across the Atlantic in the UK, who are, much like the rest of the world, staying home to stop the spread of coronavirus, and suddenly have a lot of time on hand.
That changed today, as Paramount, without much fanfare, released the film to digital stores in the region for £13.99. The debut was supposed to be April 27th. The release is across all major digital outlets, as it was in the U.S., including Amazon and iTunes.
The Sonic movie enjoyed topping the charts for its first couple days of release in America, and with a more dedicated fanbase in the UK and Europe at large, it’s sure to enjoy similar success in the territory.
The physical release is, pandemic pending, still slated for release everywhere during May.
