Sonic a Spokesman for Chili Dogs in Japan

If you were taken aback by the surprise alliance between Sonic and Hello Kitty earlier this week, this should temper any fears you may have about Sonic losing his roots.  We spotted the poster below on the Japanese Sonic Twitter this evening, and you can guess why it caught our attention.

From the poster apparently included inside a newly reopened Tokyo Joypolis, Sonic is finally putting that chili dog habit of his to good use.  With a dog in one hand and a soda in another, the hedgehog would like to try out some of the food available at the mega-arcade.  At what appears to be 300 yen, the deal isn’t bad.

So remember, while you can’t have chili dogs at Sonic Boom later tonight, the mothership in Japan will be happy to accept your grubby paws and grace them with all the chili in the world should you ever make the trip.
