Penders Chat Highlights 11/9/2000

Here’s what we know from the Ken Penders Chat held yesterday:

• The Chosen One storyline begins either in Sonic 94 or 95; it depends on Penders’ opinion.
• Major funding is needed for the planned Sonic movie.
• Marriage won’t be popping up between any Archie characters. However, Penders said Sonic will have a new love interest soon.
• No more Sonic Super Specials after #15!!
• Sonic Shuffle will be adapted by Archie. Says Penders: We’re adapting Sonic Shuffle because Sega wants us to, and they have the power to make that request become a reality. I’m not worrying how Sonic Shuffle will fit in the continuity, even though I wrote it to allow for it.
• Pertaining to Sonic #100–anything that happens to Knuckles will affect Sonic in later issues. To add to that, there’s speculation that the new villain in 100 used to be a good guy. Plus, Sonic 100 will be a regular sized issue, and there is not a Director’s Cut planned. Archie feels no need to make this issue special by adding extra pages or any other fluff.
• Lara-Su will pop up between #100 and #112.
