No FFVII Remake, Spin-Off 'Likely'

Earlier in the week PlayStation Lifestyle broke news of a ‘new’ FFVII game for PS3 with the original making it’s way to PSN and XBox Live. Queue millions of FFVII fans getting excited. The story was presented as a rumour at the time and TSSZ News treated it as such. Well now PSLS have confirmed that they didn’t mean to get everyone’s hopes up but should there be a new PS3 exclusive FFVII it’s going to be a spin-off.

If there will be a “new” PS3 version of Final Fantasy 7, it WILL NOT be a remake. There is likely to be a spin-off or a sequel to this popular game and exclusive to the PS3. I’m sorry if I got your hopes up about the FF7 remake

This information was posted by whoelse, not me (sev1512), I wasn’t aware that this FFVII article was going to be posted on our site.  I am not 100% confident that this information is true.  I have received conflicting information that there will NOT be a FFVII remake coming out but rather there is a possibility of another FFVII spin off, or possibly a sequel, but again I stress, its NOT a remake.

There’s no further news on the PSN and XBox Live version but if anything appears TSSZ News will be here to cover it. Please remember we’re treating all this as a rumour unless something more concrete is unearthed. Oh, and sorry Stephen but you’ll have to find another reason to live for now.
