E3 2000: Dreamcast DVD Confirmed

It IS there, and here are the details straight from Sega:

Dreamcast DVD Player. This amazing new technology boasts pristine picture quality. Watch your favorite movies and hold your software in the expansive storage space.

I have seen a mock-up picture of this, it it looks sleek, but a tad big. IGN Dreamcast had some impressions:

What appeared to be a stand-alone unit, the player on display was silver in color, and roughly half the thickness of a normal DVD component and had a funky transparent orange cover on the top, as well as a shiny Dreamcast logo on the front of the player. We’re still a bit cloudy on how the player would connect but we’ll be back bright and early with full details, so be sure to check back then.

Also on display was a new model of the Dreamcast MP3 Player, and this time it comes in silver. We’re not sure if this was a style decision, or a sign of multiple color options for the player itself, but we’ll keep you posted.
