Book Ripoff: Where's Sonic?
Surely you remember the long visits to your doctor’s office where all you could do, aside from wait in fear as to how many shots, pokes, and prods you’d get this time, was play along with the Where’s Waldo? books that were among the various trashy magazines in the waiting room. It wasn’t something you’d ever participate in with your own time, but it passed the time quite well.
Now, wonder how much more fun it would be if you could have instead wasted your time looking for Sonic in those visual mazes.
UK Resistance obtained a copy of Where’s Sonic?–as unimaginative in name as some of the recent Sonic fodder and eerily similar to the original title of our faithful friend in striped clothing. The premise is the same–find Sonic amongst a myriad of other detractions in what appears to be pages based on the zones from Sonic 2.
This looks to be a Europe-only release from the early to mid 1990s–though if anyone Stateside has faint memories of seeing this in their childhood, do let us know in the comment box below.
You can head to the article, where you’ll find all the pages in the book ready for your eyes to scan. Who knows–it just may be more fun that Sonic 2k6.
