3D After Burner II Coming January 15th To 3DS eShop
We’re now in that period where news has usually slowed to a near crawl as gaming news from SEGA takes a breather in between game announcements. That doesn’t mean SEGA plans to keep it that way for this year, however.
You may recall in November that the second wave of SEGA 3D Classics were announced to be coming to the Nintendo 3DS eShop in western regions. Today a new tweet from SEGA on their official Twitter has confirmed that the first of these games, After Burner II, will be coming to the 3DS eShop on January 15th:
The 3D version of After Burner II will be SEGA’s first game release in 2015.

Hopefully this doesn’t include fake widescreen as a display option. Never understood why the other arcade games have both that and normal widescreen…
Looking forward to downloading it. The 3D ports have so far been excellent, and Afterburner 2 is a great game even today. The 3D effect really goes well with these type of games as well.
