The following is some additional archive material from Sonic Style, as along with the comics Demx produced some background information for the characters. This includes bios and a character relationship chart specifically for the Past Meets The Present series. These are presented here for the sake of completion.

SONIC THE HEDGEHOG

Being the comic relief of the gang, Sonic is a carefree hedgehog who’s always looking at the glass as half full. Don’t let his optimism fool you as stupidity. Sonic’s experience and quick learning skills with the chaos emeralds is on par to that of Shadow’s knowledge of amplifying ones powers with the chaos emeralds. Sadly Sonic’s attention span does tend to get the best of him when he’s not the one talking. If that’s not bad enough, our fearless leader sometimes leads the group right into the middle of a trap. Being cool under the pressure, Sonic still manages to get himself out of trouble and save both the day and those who might have got caught up in the mess.

Current rumors about Sonic range from being dead as a door nail to having a love hate relationship with Amy. I think we can pretty much guess who started these rumors.

MILES “TAILS” PROWER

Tails, Sonic’s best friend, ironically spends most of his time with Knuckles getting sidetracked by anything that crosses their path. When not Tails is not preoccupied working on his latest flying invention or helping Knuckles out, he can be found talking to the CEO of SEGA, trying to land a better role in the next Sonic game. So far Tails has only managed to improve Shadow’s popularity and pay someone off in SEGA’s writing department to lower his age by seven years.

During one of Tails’ crazy experiments involving his Thunder Shoot, Tails accidentally shocks himself and was rushed to the hospital. After spending a few weeks in rehab, Tails has developed a sudden fear of storms and vows never to use his Thunder Shoot again.

KNUCKLES THE ECHIDNA

Knuckles is always quick to judge, and can be conned into doing almost anything when it comes to smooth talkers. If that wasn’t bad enough, Knuckles can be quite full of himself and very stubborn about situations when he doesn’t understand the full picture. His hobbies include treasure hunting, cooking, and playing hooky from his duties to the Master Emerald.

Even though his traits make him the worst possible candidate to protect the Master Emerald, when it comes right down to it, it was the Master Emerald who picked him in the end. Deep down Knuckles is a decent guy, whose mission is to protect his precious jewels.

SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG

Usually the loner of the group, Shadow tends to put down anyone who happens to have a conversation with him. Sonic’s theory is that this has to do with being in a stagnant state for over 50 years, but the others know that Shadow is just full of himself. When it comes to the chaos emeralds, Shadow is quite creative with their powers. The only one who a poses a challenge to him with the chaos emeralds is Sonic, however Shadow will only fight if someone gets in his way of fulfilling Maria’s wishes.

Having a blurry memory of what has happened to him in the past, Maria’s wishes seem to grow and change from time to time. Since the success of his first solo game, Shadow has decided to take it easy and shy away from SEGA’s limelight for the moment. This doesn’t mean that Shadow is just going to sit on the couch and watch TV all day. Shadow already has his hands full with trying to lead both Tails and Knuckles after Sonic’s recent incident.

ROUGE THE BAT

After quitting her government job, to opt for a richer life style, Rouge has become a famous actress. However, due to the scandals involved with the movie she made, Rouge lost most of the money in court cases. Now unemployed, Rouge goes from movie convention to movie convention trying to earn a living. Diehard fans, known dreadfully to her as fan-boys, constantly stalk Rouge forcing her to heir a body guard. At night, when it’s past the fan-boys’ bed time, Rouge goes about pursuing her true passion, treasure hunting.

Rouge’s recent appearance in a Chuck Norris infomercial for some crappy excise equipment landed her a part in Sonic Riders but the only way she would appear in the game is if she would wear the same clothes that she did the infomercial in, reluctantly she agreed to the rules. Soon after the successful cameo in Sonic Riders, Rouge’s contract with SEGA was extended.

AMY ROSE

Always cheerful and full of energy, Amy is determined to get her man, whether it involves brutally beating Sonic to a bloody pulp, taking advantage of a perilous situation (that Sonic has manage to get himself into), or even getting rid of the competition. When Amy isn’t chasing Sonic she can normally be found hanging out with Cream, air boarding, shopping for shoes, or plotting ways to force Sonic to go out with her. Why just a date now and not matrimony? It’s one of Amy’s secret plans to lure Sonic into a false sense of security before making Sonic her hedgehog.

In more recent events, Amy has been ensnared by Meloud’s silver tongue to steal “The Book.” But in order steal “The Book” from Demx, she has to bind him with “The Ropes of Riterock.” A devious device that consumes the soul through the binds that paralyzes its victim.

CREAM THE RABBIT

Although not a regular in the comic, Cream still is considered to be part of the main cast, and being the cutest of the bunch can be extraordinarily hard work. So Cream often surrounds herself with anything that can be remotely cute. Her cute charms and undying affection towards her pet chao, Cheese, and the other animals surpasses anyone known in the comic realm. There’s a common saying around these parts; if you spot chao running around, you know Cream is not too far off. However, if Cheese isn’t by Cream’s side, she becomes a train wreck and gets very obsessive with anything in her site.

One of Cream’s most unique abilities, and quite rare amongst the Sonic universe, is the ability to understand the chao language. Cream is known for doing almost anything for a scope of ice cream, and loves magic as much as she loves setting fire to things.

DR. IVO ROBOTNIK / DR. EGGMAN

The self-proclaimed “romantic feminist” always had big plans for ruling the world, but one blue hedgehog keeps getting in his way. Dr. Ivo Robotnik, just wants to have a little fun in the Sun before he heads towards those big pearly gates in the sky. But as soon as he comes close to the finish line, Sonic always manages to trip him up somehow, or something terrible goes wrong with his plan, forcing him to help Sonic and his crew. Why help Sonic? What fun would it be to rule the world when three fourths of your “would-be citizens” die in the process? After escaping the Master Emerald, the destruction of his latest invention, and his invention’s invention, Dr. Robotnik is running low on assets.

After much pleading with the Black Chao Market, Dr. Robotnik managed to set up an air board business to fund his future inventions. His current whereabouts are unknown at this moment.
