Metallic Madness Day 4 Results and Analysis

You’ve done it! After more than 3,000 votes cast over four days, we’ve gone from a Sonic Scene of 64 to the Speedy 16. You can see the results below. All remaining participants will get a few days to rest, as will your voting fingers, while you contemplate who should advance to the Emerald 8, and the Final Zone.
There were some major upsets in Day 4. Here’s the breakdown.
Another One Seed is Ousted. Today, it was Silver the Hedgehog who was dethroned by Blaze in our last and closest race of the day. The upset may clear the path for Shadow to take the reigns of the Chaotix division–if Rouge doesn’t act as a distraction first.
2 Seeds, 3 Eliminations. Interesting enough, Shadow remains the last 2 seed in the competition. The remaining 2 seeds were all eliminated today, all in major upsets. Eggman took out Big, Nicole sent Rotor back to the workshop, and in the most participated vote so far of the tournament, 10 seed Find the Computer Room cut Sonic Stadium’s path to the division title short. In the Little Planet division, that sets up a textbook Doomsday battle between Super Sonic and Dr. Eggman on Thursday. In the Mobius division, it affords a fairly even battle between Nicole and Bunnie Rabbot.
Find The Computer Room Could Win It All. Already, the website and its staff have rallied their base for a lot of support and a lot of votes. Sunday’s competition where they ousted second seed Sonic Stadium was the most voted poll so far in the tournament almost by double. As an underdog 10 seed, FTCR has proven they have the means to take on anyone in the field. Their next opponent is third seed Tails’ Channel. Can they potentially force a match with top seed Sonic Retro in the Emerald 8?
Girls Rule. Every single female competing Sunday won their match. Bunnie, Nicole, Rouge, and Blaze are all blazing the trail in a tournament dominated by males. For Rouge and Blaze in particular, though, their toughest tests may lie ahead. Both will face key franchise cornerstones in the Speedy 16. Can they keep going as the tournament gets tougher?
The Doomsday Match Is Set. The first match in the Speedy 16 will be Super Sonic vs. Eggman, a titanic bout on the level of Classic vs. Modern Sonic during these first sets. There, Modern Sonic prevailed, and quite decisively. Can Eggman pull off the unthinkable and leave just one Sonic in the tournament?
