TooManyGames: Gioeli Affirms More Crush 40 Albums “Absolutely” Coming
The American half of Crush 40, Johnny Gioeli, said in a panel today at TooManyGames in Philadelphia that he just spoke to his other half, Jun Senoue, earlier in the day. He then, in response to a question a follower of TSSZ asked on Twitter, affirmed more work will be coming from the group.
“Absolutely,” Gioeli said when TSSZ asked if there were more albums in the pipeline. Gioeli did not disclose when they may hit, but earlier in the panel did note the following (our emphasis in bold):
If you knew what we had in our files, you would lose your mind…we’re just waiting for the next new game.
TSSZ previously heard conflicting information at the Sonic panel earlier this year at SXSW about Crush 40’s role in the next major Sonic game–first learning through a translation that Jun Senoue would not have a role in the upcoming Sonic Forces, then later being told in an interview with Aaron Webber not to lose hope about that prospect. This will only add to the confusion and speculation.
We have much more to share from TooManyGames later tonight, including the highlights of Gioeli’s panel and his live performance later in the evening.
