The Sonic movie’s grossed $306,700,000 worldwide at the box-office when it released this past February, making it the biggest grossing superhero movie of the year. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Marvel had to postpone their planned releases for this year, making the Sonic movie the first non-Marvel to achieve this milestone since The Dark Knight in 2008. The Sonic movie is still the highest-grossing video game film to date.
