Square Enix’s Final Fantasy III Is Getting A Vinyl Record To Celebrate Its 30th Anniversary
This year marks the 30th anniversary of Final Fantasy III. To celebrate, Square Enix is releasing a special vinyl record. The record contains “newly arranged versions of songs from the 30-year classic, as well as the original tracks“. You can pre-order it now, before it releases on November 18th.
Final Fantasy III originally released as a Japanese-exclusive in 1990 for the Famicom, also known as the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). It didn’t release outside of Japan until its remake came out on the DS in 2006. It has since been made available on mobile devices, the Wii and Wii U’s Virtual Console, the Playstation Portable, and on PC via Steam. Here’s Square Enix’s tweet about the vinyl record:
