Sonic Needs You in the 7th Character Battle!
This iteration of ‘The Great GameFAQs Character Battle’ is into full swing again. For those of you who have not heard of this contest before:
“The users of GameFAQs have nominated 128 video game characters and it’s time to let them battle it out… Using the Poll of the Day to decide, the most popular character will take the this year’s title.”

The 128 characters have been split into 8 divisions of 16. Then groups of 4 characters from a division go up for the vote with the top two progressing to the semi-finals of their division. This is done until only two remain in the division, these two then gain a place in the Final Bracket containing best 16 characters. If that description still has you confused, then I suggest you take a look at the current bracket layout, click here.
Today’s vote is in Sonic’s division, with the top two characters progressing to the Final Bracket. At the moment Sonic is place in second, about 3000 votes behind Sephiroth. Now come on! Sonic should be much closer to the Final Fantasy VII villain. Get those mouse buttons clicking!

I am sure Sonic will progress (with a little bit more help). So (hopefully) I will report back when he is in the Final Bracket. He will potentially be up against Kirby, Dante, and Sephiroth! Now that is a character battle if I have ever seen one!

Sonic just hit the margin to move on to the next round. I guess Sephiroth being a little pussy helps in battle.
