Sonic Forces: Speed Battle’s Mystic Jungle Update Now Available
The next big update for Sonic Forces: Speed Battle is now available, and it brings a wealth of changes and new content to the game. As seen during this year’s Sonic at SXSW panel, Mystic Jungle Zone has been added; the environment uses its own music, and it includes two stages to compete on: Lambent Grove and Electric Arbor. To accommodate this, some existing tracks have been shuffled into different tiers; Spiral Heights, for example, now sits a tier higher than it used to, while Desert Falls has dropped to a lower tier. Missions are now present as well, giving players rewards for meeting objectives like using certain items and collecting lots of rings. In addition, new performance enhancements and refinements will help the game run more smoothly on low-end and mid-range devices, though these improvements will likely be felt across all hardware that runs the game; simple actions like opening chests now feature more polished animations, and menus feel more responsive than they have in the past.
There’s a lot to unpack in this update, and we encourage you to check it all out for yourself. Sonic Forces: Speed Battle is available for free on iOS and Android devices.
