Sonic 1 SEGA AGES Edition Dated for September 20th Release in Japan
It had a month’s delay, but come next week, Sonic fans in Japan will have another chance to play classic Sonic on a current system.
The SEGA AGES edition of the 1991 Sonic the Hedgehog has been dated for release next Thursday, September 20th, on the Nintendo Switch eShop. It joins Thunder Force IV as the first in a line of SEGA AGES titles coming to the popular Nintendo system.
This edition will not include the numerous enhancements featured in the domestic Taxman remaster for mobile, but will include the Drop Dash special move that Taxman and Stealth implemented in Sonic Mania, as well as other special features.
No western release has been disclosed yet. Some sources have speculated this will be a simultaneous worldwide release. That has not yet been confirmed.
