
Shooting Outside Home of Sega Sammy CEO
In a rather frightening turn of events, several media outlets have reported on a shooting incident outside of the home of Hajime Satomi, the CEO of Sega’s parent company, Sega Sammy Holdings. According to Kotaku, a security guard heard the gunshots outside of Satomi’s home in Tokyo at around 3:30 AM. Live bullets and bullet casings were found nearby, and a light outside the house’s gates had been shattered. Neither Satomi nor his family were home at the time of the incident.
Earlier today, Sega Sammy Holdings acknowledged the incident in a brief press release, which we have included in full below.
As various news media have already reported, there seemed to be a gun incident at the
house of Hajime Satomi, the President and CEO of SEGA SAMMY HOLDINGS INC.
We’ve already found the safety of him and his family.
We’re currently investigating the fact of the incident and cooperating the investigation
of police with utmost effort to achieve an early solution.
Again, Satomi and his family are safe and unharmed as they were not home when the incident took place. We will continue to monitor this story and bring you additional information as it becomes available.
