Lumiva Legacy

What was once Bingo the Multiva has evolved into a promising original platformer, now with multiple characters planned for its final release. For SAGE, the demo includes tweaked physics, new elemental charge power-ups, new moves, and a higher game resolution for players to enjoy.

Sonic: The New Adventure

Already setting the standards high for itself by self-promoting as “an ambitious fan game,” this demo offers a taste of what will be an expansive effort once completed. Various characters from around the Sonic universe, as well as one or two original ones, will be playable. The final version promises twelve zones, open hub worlds, a ring energy system, and more.

PETRICHOR

Another original title making its SAGE debut is PETRICHOR, and it represents two years’ worth of work from Lamp Lighter Studios. Aiming to fuse adventure and exploration with the shoot-em-ups of the 80s and early 90s, this tech demo has you on the hunt for a supercomputer gone rogue. Windows, Mac, and Linux versions are all available to download and play.

Sonic the Hackable

This Sonic ROM hack on display at SAGE is a bit more old-school in the face of a wave of Mania mods popping up in the community. This demo, from CHRdutch, re-imagines the original Sonic 1 ROM with unique gimmicks in Acts 2 and 3. So far, Green Hill and Marble Zone are available for SAGE-goers to try out.

Space Kahuna

Another original title sharing the SAGE stage is best described as a cool dude’s Parodius. Players go space surfing through an array of fun but challenging levels, shooting space junk out of the way, and facing farcical bosses and numerous plants. This is a work that doesn’t take itself too seriously and knows SAGE is all about having great fun.
