Radial-G Third Early Access Update Released
British virtual reality (VR) developer Tammeka Games have delivered a new update to Steam Early Access users of their Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) compatible racer. As previously revealed this third release is considered more of a stepping stone on the way to moving out of Early Access and into a fully fledged Steam release. However, that is not to say the update is without significant content additions.
A Steam Offline mode is now being supported as well as another user requested addition with the option to disable the Oculus Rift’s Direct to Rift Mirroring whilst more in-game content has been added with two new tracks Dead Zone Theta and Moebius Theta. Fans of the game’s distinctive music will also be pleased to discover a new addition to the soundtrack with a new track from Mark Delany called Mashed. Lastly an overhaul to the menu system now shows VR styled course previews when selecting tracks.
The update is available now to download on Steam for Early Access users and you can see all the content updates in the supporting trailer which can be found below.
At this time no further word has been given regarding any additional updates for the XBox One and PlayStation 4 versions although it is still expected that Project Morpheus support will be added by Tammeka Games to the PS4 version upon the launch of the HMD.
