Prope's Other Game is Let's Catch
Yuji Naka is apparently willing to let Sonic go, and let you instead not only tap, but catch.
Let’s Catch will be out on WiiWare for the Japanese to accompany Let’s Tap come December, and it may be showing up at the Tokyo Game Show. Like Miyamoto with Wii Music, Naka appears to be taking a distinctive turn toward casual gaming with these two titles.
At a going price of 1,000 Wii points, Let’s Catch…well, lets you play catch. You’ll need the Wiimote to do it. The price will get you six modes, including Story mode, Speed Catch, High Score mode, and Free Play mode. In Free Play mode…you simply throw the ball at each other. On the TV. The thing you can do outside on a nice day unless you live in a concrete jungle like New York City (and even with that, there’s Central Park) you can now phone in, in the comfort of your own home. Fantastic.
There are some screen caps available of Let’s Catch, and we’ll have them over the weekend. Beyond that, we’ll be sure to follow up with new information should Let’s Catch show up at next week’s Tokyo Game Show, as it is expected to do.
