Nintendo Discussed NX To Third-Party Developers At E3
Remember that permanent meeting room that SEGA booked for E3 this year? We may now know why.
Fortune reports in an interview with Shigeru Miyamoto that Nintendo is reported to have discussed their next hardware, the NX, to third-party developers at this year’s E3:
The problem for Nintendo is the NX’s launch is at least a year away—likely more, as the company reportedly just started talking about it with third-party partners at this year’s E3.
So what does this mean? It’s not out of the question, seeing as SEGA is on very good terms with Nintendo, that SEGA may have had the permanent meeting room to hear what Nintendo wanted to inform the company about in regards to the NX. This could also mean that it’s possible for a SEGA launch title on the NX to be a thing when the time comes. Or, perhaps, a contract of some kind. This, of course, is purely speculation. Not to mention it isn’t that big of a deal, something that likely happened with previous consoles too. However SEGA and Nintendo may very well be planning for quite an uncertain future with the NX. How, exactly, is something we’ll just have to wait and see.
