Sonic Dash Updated, Game Also Goes Free

A new update has been released for Sonic Dash, bringing with it some new features and optimization that may actually soften some of the harsher criticism players had to offer in Hardlight’s direction.

Firstly, the performance on iPhone and iPod 4th Gen devices has improved massively-I can vouch for this point, as I did notice a heavy increase in stability during play. This makes the game far easier to play for those with less powerful devices, and allows those on iPhone 4 devices and such to have more of a chance in the high score tables!

Perhaps the biggest addition to the update is the new Daily Challenges system. Every day you are issued a new challenge, and if you complete it, you are rewarded. From what I can tell, as you complete challenges consecutively, the reward increases as well-for example, Day 1 you’ll get rings, Day 2 you’ll get items, and by Day 5 and above, you’ll have a chance and unlocking characters! This makes rewards such as the Red Rings far easier to obtain, as their difficulty to get caused much outcry, as it was effectively a way to gouge as much money as possible out of players in the most blatant way possible.

Also coming in as music to the ears of players is the change in object arrangement. Now objects are placed further apart, leading to less frustrating or nigh unavoidable deaths. This was certainly a glaring issue, as it required lightning fast reflexes, so to hear it’s been fixed is fantastic news.

As if that wasn’t good enough, or if you’re still wary, the game is now FREE! We’re unsure as to whether this is permanent or for a limited time only, but with this update now released, there’s never been a better time to try the game!
