Ken Penders Talks Robotnik
Sure thing. Robotnik IS dead. Yet we’re promoting the return of Robotnik. How can this be? Without giving away any surprises, we had this planned for quite some time. Sega gave us permission to kill off Robotnik as long as we brought him back some time later. They were figuring on six months later. We were already figuring out how to fight a guerrilla war to keep him out of action longer than that. The major reason we did so is that we never felt that particular version was believable as Sonic’s ultimate villain. We wanted something closer in concept to the games and the anime, something that would really make the Sonic fans go wild. Personally, I like what Karl has done, but the ultimate jury has yet to be heard from.
