IDW Team Sonic Racing Adaptation Also Delayed

The substantial delay of Team Sonic Racing to May has left in limbo its comic adaptation from IDW.

Originally scheduled for release sometime in November, it too will now be pushed back to a currently undetermined date.

IDW’s David Mariotte addressed fans on the IDW Sonic Facebook group:

…the Team Sonic Racing game release has been pushed back by Sega and our comic’s been delayed a little to make sure we’re all on the same page. We’re still finalizing a release date, but rest assured, it will be out sooner than later and it’s gonna be a lot of fun!

Though Mariotte would not offer more specific guidance, that “sooner” assurance appears to be backed up by Sega’s Aaron Webber, who Tweeted yesterday before Mariotte’s announcement that it will still be released during this year:

To have such a gap between the adaptation and the game its based on is, at best, puzzling. We’ll keep on top of any clarifying remarks that may pop up to give you a better idea of what’s going on.
