HTC Releases Vive Tour Reactions Video
As you may well know the HTC Vive is presently on the early stages of something of a world tour, journeying around America initially and allowing virtual reality (VR) enthusiasts and the general public to get hands on with the Valve-backed head-mounted display (HMD), lighthouse and its controller system at numerous events.
Its first stop was the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) and HTC recently released a short video showing some of the reactions of people who had just finished trying the HTC Vive out.
Previously Jeff Gattis, of HTC’s connected products global marketing team spoke of the desire and indeed need to bring the HTC Vive to places in America, Asia and Europe. “We want to set up at popular events, showing up at game shows, developer conferences, universities and letting people try it. The challenge for all of us in the VR space is that there is no way to describe it. Nothing comes close to simulating what it’s actually like.”
His comments echo many when it comes to VR, namely you have to see it to believe it and even then – as shown by the reactions in the video below you may struggle to comprehend everything that just occurred.
