F**k House Of The Dead: Overkill
House of The Dead: Overkill is a great game. If you’re in the age range where the game is deemed suitable for you and you own a Nintendo Wii you could do a lot worse than picking this game up. It’s a tongue in cheek take on the old House of the Dead games which manages to be hilariously violent and outrageously funny in it’s own right. F-bombs are dropped in every other sentence and in fact the game has managed to break a world record in the process. That’s right, this game contains more uses of the word f**k than any other out there. 198 times says Manager for Guinness World Records, Gaz Deaves.
“”This record category pre-existed for movies, music and television, but The House of the Dead: OVERKILL is the first video game to be awarded the title in the Gamer’s Edition,”
It’s not just swearing for swearing’s sake either. The characters are trapped in a Grindhouse horror and anything other than an extended list of expletives wouldn’t have been faithful to the overall experience, something Jonathan Burroughs, writer of Overkill agrees with.
“It is a dubious honour to receive such an accolade working in an industry where so often the fruits of your labours are derided and dismissed for being puerile or irresponsible, but in the case of The House of the Dead: OVERKILL a little puerility was the order of business,” he said. “Parodying the profane excess of grindhouse cinema was Headstrong Games’ objective and I am flattered that this record acknowledges that we not only rose to that challenge, but entirely exceeded it.”
So the next time people start to complain that the Wii is only for kids and girls hit them with this little nugget of information. Credit goes to TSSZ News reader Spider for the heads up!

This was definitely the weirdest fucking thing I’ve ever found.
HAHA!!! TAKE THAT GRAND THEFT AUTO
Okay… That wasn’t a reaction I was expecting.
That’s fucking hilarious. Looks like Sega’s mission has been accomplished.
This game only holds a record because there hasn’t been a Jay & Silent Bob video game yet.
198 times? That’s fucking amazing!
We can all thank Washington for this achievement. Now the HotD series can be much more famous.
F**kest Thing Alive!!
Oh Sweet, fucking puns!
