First SEGA AGES Titles Arrive on the Switch eShop

The SEGA AGES initiative has started in North America, with Sonic the Hedgehog and Lightening Force: Quest for the Darkstar now available for purchase on the Nintendo Switch eShop. Developed by M2, the AGES line is a compilation of legacy SEGA games spanning much of the company’s history. SEGA AGES joins other collections like SEGA Genesis Classics, which arrives this winter, as part of the company’s push to make its classic titles available on the Switch.

The SEGA AGES line will expand with Sonic 2, Out Run, Space Harrier, Columns II, Thunder Force AC, and Phantasy Star all due to arrive in the coming months. In the meantime, Sonic the Hedgehog and Lightening Force: Quest for the Darkstar are available now on the Nintendo Switch eShop for $7.99 apiece.
