Crunchyroll & Adult Swim Have Announced A Shenmue Anime

Shenmue is getting an anime adaptation, and it is being made by Crunchyroll and Adult Swim. Yu Suzuki is producing the show, which was approved for production shortly after Shenmue III’s release and will go for 13 episodes. Sakurai Chikara of Telecom Animation Film Studios (TMS) is directing the show, and Sola Entertainment is managing it. Telecom Animation Film Studios  is owned by SEGA. No release date is mentioned, but the show seems to be a retelling of the original games, including the plot of Shenmue II.
