Archie v. Penders Trial Delayed to January 2012
As previously reported, this week was supposed to be the week the civil trial between Archie Comics and former Sonic comic writer Ken Penders started, with the possibility of knowing the outcome later this month.
It turns out that, at the last minute, those plans were delayed. TSSZ has learned through public documents that the judge overseeing the case vacated the previous trial date, and rescheduled it for January 30th.
Also of note: the judge scheduled a settlement conference for the morning of December 1st, so there’s a chance the matter could still be resolved before the end of the year–and without much more rancor, at that.
We will continue to keep tabs on the matter.
Google says this site has recently been infested with malware.
You should probably deal with that.
Unknownlight: We are clean per Google webmaster tools. I think someone who doesn’t like us tried to report us to Google and bit.ly.
I’m working on it.

@Tristan: Here’s what you get if you try to access this site on Chrome, just so you know: http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/4605/tssznewsmal.png
Yeah…I have no idea why this is suddenly a “malware attack site” cuz…..yeah….:\
Noticed the same thing, just click “this site is not harmfull” or whatever pops up in your respective browser.
I almost thought this site was hacked again. I don’t know what for though, since y’all have been pretty good with your Sensitivity policy and all that
Aw, I got so excited for all that drama to unfold. Meh. *marks new date on calendar*
If Penders was smart he would settle.
Penders has a snowball’s chance in hell of winning this. Any characters he created for a LICENSED comic are no longer his. I don’t know how the blazes he’s even lasted this long, but Archie (and Sega and EA) are going to blow his pathetic little case away.
