Fan Fridays: Sonic Colors Remixes
Sonic Colors is regarded as one of the better series entries in recent memory, receiving broad strokes of praise from fans and critics alike; its soundtrack was no exception to that praise thanks to some varied and memorable tunes that really enhanced its presentation. With that in mind, we’re giving that soundtrack some love this week with a few noteworthy remixes that are worth a few listens.
First up is an electronic remix of Act 1 of Planet Wisp by GlitchxCity, which quickly becomes more energetic and aggressive than the original track. Next is a slower, softer, even lullaby-esque take on the game’s theme, Reach for the Stars, by xTrickyWolfy that’s just as pretty as the idea suggests. The third and final one (by AeonEric) is pretty unique; it fuses the final boss music from three separate games – Colors, Sonic ’06, and Sonic Unleashed – into one epic and seriously chaotic piece.
If any one of these remixes in particular really wow you, you can check out more work from its respective artist on their YouTube pages, all of which are linked above. As always, we’re on the lookout for fan works to spotlight, so if you have a project you want the world to know about, send us a link at fansonfriday@tssznews.com!
