Fan Fridays: Nerkin

Does the name Nerkin ring any bells? If not, there’s a high chance you’ve probably seen his work floating around the internet, whether you’ve realized it or not. Nerkin is one of the lead artists behind the massively impressive Sonic 2 HD; subject for concepts, backgrounds and illustrations alike. He’s also the man responsible for this well-known parody:

Humor aside, Nerkin is not only an avid fan of the series, but an insanely talented artist, both inside the fanbase and out. Apart from his many illustrations for Sonic 2 HD, he’s also done his own numerous takes on the hedgehog, capable of perfectly replicating the classic art style, completely reimaging it, and even envisioning it with his own creative flare.
