OPERATION: CURSED IRN-BRU | XCOM: LMC Unknown Season 3 #17

With a glass of not-wine in hand, Commander Kevin welcomes everyone to his ‘Tuesday Night XCOM Dinner, Dance and ADVENT Killing Soirée’. With a name like that it seems there’ll be fireworks in store, and that’s certainly true of the first mission.

For Operation: Cursed Irn-Bru it seems only right to take out the Scots to deal with it: Turbo, TRiPPY, Ninten and T.A. Black – plus their associates to make up the numbers. But a series of misfortunes and unexpected developments (plus a tweak to the difficulty) put a relatively inexperienced squad on the backfoot immediately, and with the clock ticking and everyone badly injured it quickly becomes a matter of making sure people make it out *at all*.

LMC Unknown Season 3 continues the story of the previous two playthroughs of XCOM: Enemy Unknown and Enemy Within onto XCOM 2. A highly modded custom game with a more casual attitude (i.e. not constantly racing the clock) the series pits friends, associates and members of the channel against the alien menace and uses what happens to craft an ongoing story. Who will become the hero? Who won’t be coming back? Who can’t hit the broad side of a barn? Let’s find out!
