OC Remix’s Sound Of Speed Sonic 1 Remix Album Nears Launch

We’ve been talking about this on Sonic Wrecks for a while now, but The Sound Of Speed, Overclocked Remix’s Sonic 1 based remix project is nearing launch.

The remixing outfit whose previous three Sonic related projects focused on Sonic 2 (Hedgehog Heaven), Sonic 3 & Knuckles (Project Chaos) and Ice Cap Zone (Recapitated) respectively will fill the gap left by the 1991 original with their 25th album project. Actually with 4 album projects (though Re-Capitated isn’t really counted as it was an April Fool) Sonic has had more remixing projects on OCR than any other character or video game series.

A preview trailer of the project which includes community favourites like halc, Rexy, Willrock and José the Bronx Rican (yes, as in Unknown From M.C.) has been put on YouTube which you can see below.
