Wreck-it Ralph Loses to Brave at Academy Awards

This evening, gamers of all walks who united under the hope Disney’s Wreck-it Ralph could walk out of Los Angeles’s Dolby Theatre with an Oscar are disappointed.

The Best Animated Feature award went instead to Pixar’s Brave.  In all, five films were nominated.  Wreck-it Ralph was just reeling off a recent Annie award bonanza, with five wins.

Wreck-it Ralph, you may be aware, includes appearances from Sonic the Hedgehog, Bowser from the Super Mario franchise, and a wide array of video game icons.

No matter the reason for not winning, it’s still an honor to be nominated.
