Video: Introducing Sonic Robo Blast 2 Kart Mod

You already know about the latest update to longtime Sonic fan game project Sonic Robo Blast 2 from our update Sunday. What you may not know is that it has a somewhat robust editing and modding community surrounding it, a unique situation for a fan game of any kind.

But Doom Engine based SRB2 is a platformer at the core.  How did a team of programmers turn it into a kart racer? You can watch a proof of performance of what is SRB2 Kart below, complete with Mario Kart style power-ups and gameplay. All that’s really missing are transforming vehicles and Danica Patrick!

For most, it will be an introduction, but for some, it’s more of a refresher, and it will need to be updated to fit SRB 2.1. Watch the video now, and we’ll let you know once the latest SRB2 Kart goes live.
