STJR News Update

Soon after the release of SRB2 Xmas 1.0, there is a contest planned. Sonikku will be making a special level for it, it will be a Time Attack. Sonikku has some prizes set up for the winners, here is a preliminary list:

1st – Last remaining SRB2 Soundtrack CD + loads of extra goodies! (levels, skins, etc.)
2nd / 3rd – Loads of SRB2:XMAS goodies!
4th / 5th – Some SRB2:XMAS goodies.
Everyone who enters – Gets a bonus level.

Also planned is a “Millennium” level; I’ll let Sonikku speak for himself on this:

You’ll be seeing a ‘new’ enemy in the level – EggTurret, the actual robot was in the actual .wad, but we never used it, so you’ll be facing that.

You have a number of different tasks to do, and can all be accessed from the main ‘hub’. Alternatively, if you’re a really boring person, you’ll just go straight into the exit and not try any of the fun!

1 – Badnik room, beat up lots of badniks, I’m not sure whether I should give an option to teleport some in (a la Sonic Adventure – Final Egg Purple bots)
2 – Ring room, no prizes for guessing what you have to do here, grab all the rings!
3 – Maze room, run around a maze and get to the end.
4 – Assault course room, keep running and beat the course.

That’s not all, Eggman, as always, is trying to spoil the fun and has given the party some of his own treatment – with a spray can. However, Sonic also has his own spray can to make some… ‘modifications’. 😉
