2. I want to like it, but I see a simple recolor before anything else…

   1. All the amiibo are simple recolors, but at least it’s one of the nicer looking ones at that. That’s why I’ve never seen a point of owning an amiibo if you’re not already a collector.

      1. It’s probably going to blight the franchise for the rest of its existence, sadly. Once something’s a meme, you can’t turn back the clock.

         The fact that the recent Sonic games have regressed into mediocrity does NOT help matters.

   I can’t imagine the onslaught of Amiibo uses M&S Rio will have, but hopefully we will get Amiibos from other Sonic characters this time.

      2. Too bad that line of Amiibo would be almost impossible to find without having to resort to scalpers, just like every non-Mario related Amiibo.

   Why not just go all the way and have a wooly Soni-
   Oh. .
   Because Sonic doesn’t have a long stretchy tongue OR turn things into Eggs. . .
   So then how about this? He gets those two stretchy rings from Knuckles Chaotix/Sonic Crackers; And then uses one ring to grapple enemies the same way Yoshi does with it’s tongue, and while holding onto the other ring, when Sonic pulls it into him and kicks it or something, it turns into a ball of light that’s basically a re-skinned egg? 😕 It can be used exactly the same way as Yoshi’s eggs 🙂
   You can still launch them at other enemies/items/obstacles And hey, Sonic could SWING on the ring bond like a vine or a rope from hangable places.
   And instead of the kicky air move, he could do either the spring jump from Smash Bros 4/Brawl, or he could do a double spin jump. . 😀

   Just a liiiittle more effort Nintendo. . . Please. .

   1. It’s only a little plus, is like expecting Yoshi to be playable in every new major Sonic game, also I think Sonic doesn’t mix with Yoshi’s world at all, I rather have Sonic playable in a Star Fox game or Donkey Kong even.

   2. Every amiibo except for the Pokemon have a costume. It’s not just Sonic.

   3. You’ve got to be kidding me….really? It’s a costume for crying out loud! Why are you complaining?? The developers put in this neat little feature just for the fans and all you can do is whine about it?

   4. It’d be more than a little, actually; 40 amiibo are compatible with the game this way, including Mega Man and others, so they’d have to go to such an extent for every character featured. That would probably set the game back considerably for something that’s just a little bonus.

    Have you seen Yoshi’s running animation in this game lately? WHEELS. His feet turn into wheels.

    This skin is now the best skin.
