Sonic Site May Sweeps Results
There were many a few surprises when I recorded the final results for the Sweeps, lasting from May 1st to the 28th. In particular, the race for first place was very close. You’ll see what I mean very shortly.
Taking first place in the Sweeps is The Sonic Foundation, as it did last Sweeps period, with 19,612 hits. This is up 8.7% compared to the non-Sweeps months, March and April, but it’s down 16.3% compared to February sweeps. Taking a very close second was Team Artail, moving from third to second. The site had 19,185 hits; however, that was down 7.7% compared to the interim months and down 11.2% compared to February. Sonic HQ dropped to third, with 15,979 hits. The site is still doing on its downward trend, down 16.8% compared to the interim and down 12.7% compared to February.
In a very surprising fourth place was the Sonic Fan Games HQ!! The site received 11.064 hits during May sweeps; that’s up 8.2% compared to March and April and up 19.9% compared to February. The SSRG, the SFGHQ’s parent site, took fifth, with 7,108 hits. That is up 10.9% compared to the interim and up 27.5% compared to February. Perfect Chaos takes sixth, with 5,773 hits, up a sharp 34.1% from the interim months, but down 10% compared to February. SegaSonic.Net took seventh, with 4,877 hits. That is up 9.8% compared to March and April but down 26.1% compared to February. We should note that SSN was down for several days during the Sweeps period.
The winner for most improved Sonic site goes to the Sonic Sages, in eighth place, with 4,146 hits. That is up a staggering 35.9% compared to interim months, and up 36.7% compared to February. This site, TSSZ, took ninth, with 3,062 hits, up 11.4% from interim and up 23.2% compared to February. Down at tenth again, however, is the Electro Sonic Team, with 1,394 hits. That is up 31.2% compared to March and April but down 15.2% compared to February.
The next Sweeps will be sometime in the Summer.
