Sonic Dash Passes 100 Million Downloads

It was only a matter of time.

SEGA has announced that Sonic Dash has surpassed 100,000,000 downloads. Along with the news statistics on the game were also provided with seven facts on the game:

• 850,000,000,000 rings have been collected.
• 123,000,000 hours have been played.
• 45,000,000,000 runs were done.
• 103,000,000 red rings were obtained.
• 14,000,000 people, on average, play the game every month since launch.
• 1,800,000,000 kilometres have been run by Sonic in the game.
• December 25th, 2013 had the most concurrent players, with 2,800,000 people playing that day.

It is the most downloaded Sonic game ever. No other Sonic game that has been available to download has gotten this far. That doesn’t mean SEGA and Hardlight Studio have no plans on marking the occasion. Sonic Dash will have a special event arriving this Thursday.

All we know about the event is that “Sonic will be joined by some special friends who are used to impressive success on mobile platforms”. Who those friends are is something we’ll have to wait and see.
