Sonic Boom Season 2 Trailer Posted
At long last, SEGA’s PR has done something that the Sonic Boom cartoon has been in dire need of: promotion. The official Sonic social media has uploaded video of a trailer for season two of Sonic Boom. We’ve embedded it down below. Between this and the recently unveiled press release, the time now comes to see if the promotion will help boost the show’s ratings, or if that boost will get negated by the migration to Boomerang, a channel that is not as available to American households as Cartoon Network is.

Does anyone else think it’s beyond embarrassing that a show that officially premiered on Nov 12th (actually, earlier on CN) didn’t get a trailer until Nov 17th? SEGA marketing at it’s finest…
More like CN marketing. They do a lousy job promoting any of their shows that aren’t Teen Titans Go or Adventure Time. Even some of their most popular shows like Steven Universe barely get any fanfare when new episodes return. Not all of their shows are winners but they all at least still deserve to get acknowledged so that they will get the proper ratings they need from the audiences who actually do want to watch them.
The Sonic youtube channel (run by SEGA) released this trailer. Cartoon Network is not at fault here.
That just tells me that Sega had to step in and do it themselves cause CN was too lazy to do it’s job marketing one of it’s own shows.
The show isn’t really migrating to Boomerang, since it’ll be on both Boomerang and Cartoon Network. Boomerang will get the episodes first, yes, but they will be airing on Cartoon Network later. I even asked Bill Freiberger about it on his Twitter account, and he said it will air a week later on Cartoon Network.

Those without Boomerang will still get the show, but they will just get it later.
One standout improvement is the animation quality has blissfully improved in Sonic Boom’s second season run. The three-dimensional models have richer color and more developed texturing, while the on-screen motion is more fluid, natural and properly cadenced. If anyone brushes over this, let me be the first to tell you, Mr. Freiberger, and your entire team: I’m thoroughly impressed once again! Thank you for taking this to THE NEXT LEVEL!
It’s nice to see that they’re prioritizing on the quality of the models and animation. I just hope that they touch up on the minor characters a bit too, even if they are all mostly dull set-pieces anyway. Maybe they can finally animate goo and liquids properly too, lol.
