Sonic 4: Episode II now part of Sega Forever Line

The better half of a series some in this community would like to forget will now forever be in the fold of Sega’s latest mobile release initiative, Sega Forever.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II is now available free to play on mobile devices. Ads can be removed for $1.99 or your country’s equivalent. The key difference between now and its 2012 release: Episode Metal is locked on and playable out of the gates. Originally, the purchase of Episode I was required to “lock on” and unlock the content.

Earlier in the week, the Sega Forever team teased Episode II’s remaster on social media by using creative of Metal Sonic.
