Sonic 2 Beta Page Salvaged

Pelord has managed to salvage at least part of the Sonic 2 Beta page, created b the now AWOL Simon Wai. Here is the opening message on the new site location:

First off, I am NOT Simon Wai, and this is also technically NOT my site. I give Simon Wai total credit for this page, as well as the cause for creating it.

For those who aren’t quite sure what is going on… simply put, in January 1999, Simon Wai stumbled onto a Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Beta ROM. And thus he created this site. It originally started here at emulationzone, and become VERY Popular. But after a while, Simon left emulationzone and the SSRG for reasons unknown. Simon then put the site onto a XOOM server and a Webjump server. He hasn’t been seen since October of 1999. The XOOM site dissappeared a few months ago, and the Webjump one went down not too long ago. And honestly lots of people feel that the short time the site had lived was not enough. When Andy Wolan asked anyone if they knew what happened to the site, I mailed him, saying that I had saved most of the site to disk. And now that is why you see this site here once again. There are lots of missing holes and broken links currently, but they should be restored soon enough. All I ask of all of you is to help me restore as much as possible of this legendary site. Unfortunately, the Hoaxes page is completely gone, and would be near impossible to recover, but I am looking to restore the Fake Hoaxes Section. If you have ANY of the files that are currently missing from this site saved to disk, please send them to me at pelord@hotmail.com.

If Simon returns, what Pelord/SSRG has will be passed back to him in terms of control.
