Sega to Start SegaNet Marketing
From FGN Online, it looks like Sega will do the same thing it did 9.9.99 at the MTV VMA–that being promotion–but this time, it’s SegaNet’s turn to be in the spotlight:
September 7 will mark the start Sega’s multi-million dollar marketing and advertising campaign to support the launch of SegaNet. As we’ve previously reported, Ulala from Space Channel 5 will be presenting the best dance video category.
“We introduced Dreamcast last year during the VMAs, which became the most successful product launch in entertainment retail history,” said Joe Culley, vice president of marketing for Sega of America. “This year we’ll use this show to introduce an audience of 22 million to SegaNet, a gaming network that is going to redefine the industry. We’re delivering on our promise to take gaming to the next level, which is through online game play.”
