SEGA Offers A Smashing Summer Sale
It’s officially summer tomorrow with the summer solstice (or winter for our readers in the southern hemisphere), and what’s better than running around in the sunshine? Why, running a blue hedgehog around bright courses in the sunshine! Okay, it’s not really, but as segues go, it could be a lot worse.
Anyway, at this moment in time users of the XBLA service (both vanilla and Gold) can purchase a wide variety of Sonic games (and other SEGA games) at reduced prices. The ones we can confirm at this moment include:
- Sonic the Hedgehog, 160 MSP
- Sonic the Hedgehog 2, 160 MSP
- Sonic the Hedgehog 3, 160 MSP
- Sonic & Knuckles, 160 MSP
- Sonic CD, 160 MSP
- Sonic 4, Episode 1, 400 MSP
- Sonic 4, Episode 2, 400 MSP
- Sonic Adventure, 160 MSP
- Sonic Adventure DX DLC, 80 MSP
- Sonic Adventure 2, 400 MSP
- Sonic Adventure 2 Battle DLC, 120 MSP
- SEGA Bass Fishing, 160 MSP
- Space Channel 5 Part 2, 160 MSP
- Jet Set Radio, 400 MSP
- NiGHTS into dreams, 400 MSP
- The Cave, 600 MSP
- Guardian Heroes, 160 MSP
- Crazy Taxi, 400 MSP
- Daytona USA, 400 MSP
- Renegade Ops, 320 MSP
- Virtual Fighter 5: Final Showdown, 400 MSP
80 MSP averages out at about 70p, so it is quite good value for money (even if you’ve played them before). At the moment, it only seems to be on the Xbox 360, but if anything else arises on other systems, we’ll let you know. No end date has been given either, so make sure to get them whilst they’re cheap!
EDIT @ 20/6
It is now confirmed that the sale will last up until the 24th June. So if you want to grab these SEGA classics, make sure to get them ASAP! The list has also been updated with all the other titles currently on offer.
Also, the following Games On Demand (games you buy digitally) are also on offer, again for all Xbox Live users:
- Sonic Generations, $9.99/£8.99
- Sonic Unleashed, $9.99/£8.99
- SEGA Superstars Tennis, $9.99/£8.99
- Condemned: Criminal Origins, $9.99/£8.99
And the following extras:
- Tails Avatar Item, 80 MSP
