SAGE 2009: Sonic Robo Blast 2 Booth
Let’s start right at the top with our SAGE coverage, Sonic Robo Blast 2! This game is steeped in history, going all the way back to 1997 when it’s predecessor was around. Robo Blast 2 itself has been around since 1998.
This year Sonic Team Jr. is advertising ‘The 2.0 Update’ of SRB2 and if every Booth is going to be like this then I am very excited. STJr has put together a very well organised Booth that reads sort of like a book. It starts with ‘Page 1’ where the games weapon system is explained. Turn the page and find explanations about all the single player levels. Page 3 is devoted to Knuckles on his own. He has been updated and modified in numerous ways for this years demo.
Finally Sonic Team Jr details a new addition to his game which is called ‘The Updater’! That’s right, you can now stay up-to-date with SRB2 with the automatic updater tool.
On the final page of the booth you will find the demo download links. I very much suggest that this game is downloaded and given a go. I think it brings all aspects from the original Sonic games into a 3D world very well. If I was describe the game in one sentence… I would say that this game is a non-linear version of Mario Kart in that the game is 3D, fast, with 2D sprites.

To #1,
I hope you know that this is the FIRST 3D attempt at a Sonic fangame, this is MUCH, MUCH older than all the rest of them.
