Rejected Sonic Movie Image Song Sample Released
Late on Friday, Charles Stephens III, a producer and songwriter based out of Los Angeles, revealed he worked on a track for the soundtrack to the upcoming Sonic movie that ended up getting passed over.
While Speed Me Up has been dropped as the anthem of sorts to the upcoming film, Chizzy, as he refers to himself as on Twitter, could have taken that anthem to a very different place with Green Hill as an underlying sample:

Perhaps the use of Green Hill was the problem. Though it’s being used sparingly in the film itself by composer Junkie XL with a credit, the rights to the theme still sit with Masato Nakamura, who has been a bit selective in how it’s used and released of late. Tee Lopes’s renditions of the theme ended up left off soundtrack releases of Sonic Mania, as an example. Speed Me Up, on the other hand, is largely dependent on sampling in-game sound effects.
Still, fans have urged Chizzy to release the full theme.
its still a bad rap song but I kinda prefer this over what we got.
