PS2 Revealed; Don’t Worry

The PS2 specs were unveiled recently. This new console will cost nearly 400 bucks (that is not a typo), and will play DVD and be backward compatible with PSX games.

So why am I not concerned? Because a saw a few screen shots showcasing the power of the console, and, on some, the Nintendo 64, and, in few, the Saturn could reach the same level graphically. As for the most detailed picture, Tekken Tag, it’s on par with the DC’s Soul Calibur.

And besides, who’s gonna buy a console for nearly 400 bucks? I don’t care if it plays DVD (which you don’t need at all) or can play PSX games (ditto), it’s too expensive. The last time I saw a console for 400 dollars was in 1995.

So, DC fans, we don’t have much to worry about.
