“Project Lunar” for Genesis Mini Released
Anything and everything can be hacked these days, so it’s of little shock that researchers have found a way to make the most of the recently released Genesis Mini.
With the release of Project Lunar Version 1.0, modders can now add an array of features to the Mini, including more games, more storage, expanded controller support, networking capability, and even support for Game Gear, Sega CD and 32X games. What Sega did not do with the system, you now can.
With any mod, there’s a chance you brick the system if you don’t follow proper procedure. At a much more competitive price point versus the NES and SNES Mini, however, it may be another excuse to purchase a second Mini for experimentation.
